Description
A muscle back designed to remove some of the characteristics that traditionally make blades difficult to play. AXIS increased sole thickness and incorporated more effective bounce instead of using the thin, almost scoop-like sole found on many conventional blades. The sole itself uses three distinct surfaces, helping the club move through the turf rather than dig into it.
AXIS associates the improved turf interaction with better preservation of head speed through impact. Six interchangeable weights on the back provide considerably more scope for centre-of-gravity tuning than is normally found on a forged muscle back. Forged from S20C, the Z2 MBI combines a traditional appearance and soft feel with noticeably more modern playing characteristics.
