Description
High bounce without the limitations traditionally associated with a high-bounce wedge. AXIS deliberately gives the Z4 TOUR WEDGE substantial bounce — 14° in the 52° and no less than 18° in the 58°. This makes the sole resistant to digging and provides considerable support through softer ground and sand.
However, AXIS removes material aggressively from the heel section. When the face is opened, the leading edge therefore remains closer to the ground than might be expected from such a high-bounce design. The result combines the security and automatic performance of a high-bounce wedge with considerably more freedom around the green.
Eight interchangeable weights allow further tuning.
